Lauren, Mason & Maxwell's Family Session

I arrived at our local park thirty minutes before the time of our session and felt a sudden surge of creativity. The morning light was perfect and soft as it filtered down through the trees; there was a slight breeze and the sound of bird song filled the park. I just knew that this session was going to be amazing! I walked around and scouted my favorite spots, breathing and preparing. The park was mostly empty, so much undisturbed with the shutdowns from Covid, it was looking so natural and healthy - honestly, the best I had ever seen it! I was so excited and inspired from my walk as everything was exactly what I had hoped for when dreaming up the details of this session! As I was walking back up to my car, Lauren and Mason pulled up. Lauren is a long time friend and after an introduction, I realized Mason was an old classmate way back from elementary school! Small world right? Lauren got sweet Maxwell out of his carseat and let me have the honor of being one of the first people, other than family, to meet him. Lauren had actually planned to have her maternity photos taken by me but sadly we missed our window during the complete business shut down. We made up for it though with these sweet outdoor, lifestyle newborn photos! We walked and talked, catching up about life and since we both have boys around the same age there's a lot to talk about! We got to the first spot and I saw the most gorgeous pocket of light, "right there" I told them! and bam! From the very first photo I took, it was incredible.Maxwell was the calmest, most sweet and sleepy little babe and mom and dad were so caring! They both were so clearly in love with their new baby! It was such a joy walking through the park capturing these sweet little moments for them. It was exactly what I needed and such precious memories for them!
