If you've ever had a session with me then you've probably wondered why I haven't shown you the back of camera photos. You also probably know that I get into a little groove and push the session past sunset and way into blue hour. BOTH of those things can be explained with this image. When I shoot past sunset I can either up my ISO or just go with it and let the light left influence my work. I normally like to just go with it, when I can, which results in underexposed RAW images but super beautiful sunsets after I edit them. My fantastic Nikon d750 and playing in Lightroom using my sunset preset help preserve the image when I bring exposure up and give me the dark, pastel skies I love. Most of my work is shot underexposed actually - not quite to this existent normally, but this one is a fun image that really shows what you can do.

Here is another fun one that really shows the power of editing! I absolutely love the beautiful movement of grasses, but often times in Texas they are neon green in color! I like things to be a bit more moody so with my Basic Warm preset I'm able to go from the left to right side! I add a touch more warmth and then bam, perfection!
